I&#8217;m sitting around a picnic table with Stuck on the Ground (Jamie from Wisconsin), Mammoth (Candice), Cashew (from Canada), and Lullaby (Laura from Tennessee).  We&#8217;re all sharing the reasons why we are hiking 2,600 miles to visit an exact duplicate of the monument we just saw a couple of days ago.  I showed them a picture of how I looked when I was their age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jphikes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/2018-04-03-07.45.58-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cashew says, &#8220;Oh! What a fine young buck!&#8221;  Candice says, &#8220;That is a trail name.  You hike like a fine young buck!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fine Young Buck is a little pretentious, so I&#8217;ll be Young Buck.  That is unless I actually successfully hike this.
