Hello!\u00a0 My name is JP and I am hiking the Pacific Crest Trail as part of the Class of 2018.\u00a0 I am an experienced section hiker who is taking a sabbatical and going to do something epic while I’m still young enough to do it.<\/p>\n
My goal is to write this not only to keep my friends and family up-to-date, but also to journal my thoughts and experiences for those who choose to follow in my footsteps.\u00a0 Before I dared to take on such an adventure, I followed a number of thru-hikers of previous classes to learn from there successes and mistakes.\u00a0 The experiences of hikers such as Blazer, Photon, Puff Puff, Chocolate Balls and Chauncey have all played a fundamental role in how I have approached this endeavor.<\/p>\n
